Vintage Marcasite & Moonstone Ring

The Moonstone is worn as a symbol of love, healing and protection - making it the perfect talisman during pregnancy and motherhood. It has also been referred to as the "Traveller's Stone" offering protection to those travelling at night by the shine of the moon.  

The ring is crafted in 925 silver with a marcasite studded frame around it's centre white moonstone. The moonstone has a deep milky white colour which is a lovely contrast with the gunmetal grey marcasites. 

I would avoid using any chemical cleanser when cleaning this ring. Rather, I would recommend lightly cleaning with mild soap and water taking care not to catch/dislodge any of the stones. I would then gently polish the silver with a jewellery cloth. If/when you wash the ring in water, you must be sure to dry it thoroughly before storing it again as the stones can be come brittle.  I would also recommend taking off the ring when using any chemicals such as hand sanitiser or cleaning products to protect the stones.

The face of the ring measures 15.2mm x 14.2mm

The stone measures 10.2mm x 7.7mm

The ring sits 5.8mm off your finger

The band measures 1.5mm at its widest point near the base and 0.8mm at its thinnest near the pinched shoulders.

The ring is stamped 925 with an early PD for makers mark for Premier Designs
