Oria Leo Lion Zodiac Pendant

STORY: 

The elusive "Oria" jewellery house is considered one of the top costume jewellery manufacturers in France of the 19th century. They developed a world renown gold plating technique which won them many awards.  

Their pieces are of extremely high quality with many of them looking as good as  new nearly 100 years later. 

This fun piece dates to about the 1960s/1970s. It is the Leo (Lion) Zodiac sign from their Horoscope collection. This piece is new old stock and still retains its original price tag. The medal depicts a wonderfully detailed repousse lion atop the Roman Numerals for the dates of the Zodiac sign (23rd July -23 August). The centre embossed image has a matte effect with a lovely contrast in the shiny gold bolder. The pendant is blank on the back leaving space for a personal engraving.

CONDITION: 

The pendant is in amazing condition as it has never been worn. There are some scuffs to the back but this does not effect the piece of your ability to get it engraved. This pendant can be washed with mild soap and polished with a gold cloth. Do not submerse it in any gold cleaning chemicals.

Pendant measures 20mm in diametre. 

The bale adds an additional 8mm in length. 

The bale can hold a chain no thicker than 4mm.
