Mid-Century Floral Lucite "Mother" Brooch
Originally developed as a material for WW2, Lucite jewellery became all the rage in the 1950s. After all the austerity measures of the Great Depression and the war, jewellery designers were all about finding alternatives to precious metals and diamonds, and Lucite ticked all the boxes.
This brooch is a sweet example of the craft of that era. It would make a wonderful keepsake for any of the "mothers" in your life. It is in great wearable condition with no chips, scratches and the brass pin is still strong.
The brooch measures 35mm x 35mm x 11mm (including the pin attachment).
