Black Marcasite Cocktail Ring

Stunning 1930s/1940s geometric design ring of hand facetted and set marcasite stones. The design features a large faceted black oval stone at its centre surrounded by shell - like design. The ring has an excellent construction and is very comfortable to wear. 

Condition: 

The ring is in excellent condition. All stones present. Slight wear to the bottom of the ring band as to be expected with its age. I am not sure if the stone is glass or onyx but it is in excellent condition without any scratches or chips. Care must be taken with the ring as marcasite stones are brittle so should not be exposed to chemicals or be submersed in water as they may break or come loose.

The face of the ring measures 25mm x 18mm 

The black stone measures 19mm x9mm 

The ring sits 7mm above your finger but it sits pretty flush/flat against the finger so not likely to catch on anything

The band is 2mm wide x 1mm thick.
