STORY:
Although Lavalière necklaces are thought to have been named after King Louis's mistress in the 17th Century, some have credited the name to the French actress Ève Lavallière who would often wear this style of necklace through her career spanning the end of the 1800s.
DESCRIPTION: The drop pendant on this necklace is designed from a deep amethyst coloured facetted stone hanging from a marcasite and silver stem. The pendant is set on a newer vintage sterling silver chain with a bolt clasp.

16inch or 40cm long chain.
Pendant is 4.5cm long, 2.2cm wide and 6mm deep.
