Art Deco Chrysoprase Earring & Necklace Set
An Epitome Of Glamour
Jewellery of the Art Deco period was greatly influenced by travel and trade with the Far East. Chrysoprase was an affordable jade substitute in the 1920s with the oriental designs of the time.
Chrysoprase has a luxurious deep, translucent colour that evokes the opulence of the decade. The central faceted stones in this earring and necklace set are further accented by polished and handset marcasite stones. The necklace is strung from an airy sterling box chain with a small C clasp. I can adjust the size of the chain to your preference although I recommend the pendant sits atop your breastbone.
It is rare to find matching sets of Art Deco jewellery that managed to survive their 100 year jewellery, so we're lucky to be able to offer these to you!
The set is in immaculate condition. All of the stones are present although it seems the necklace has had a replacement chain at some point in her life. The stones have no chips or scratches.
The earrings have received new stainless steel earwires.
The pendant measures 38mm long including the bale x 12mm at its widest point. The chain measures 48cm long. I can shorten the length of the chain to your preference.
The earrings measure 37mm long excluding the earwires and 7mm at their widest point.
There are no hallmarks on these pieces.
